National Fellowship for OBC Candidates
INTRODUCTION
The UGC has been implementing the scheme of National Fellowship (NF) for Other Backward Classes (OBC) as entrusted & funded by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The scheme is open to candidates who belong to Other Backward Classes (OBC) and are pursuing higher studies such as regular and full time M.Phil. and Ph.D degrees in Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Engineering & Technology. There are 300 slots for award of fellowship every year for all the subjects for consideration of application received through On-line submission from research scholar belonging to OBC category. There is a provision of 3% reservation for slots for consideration of award of fellowship to research scholars for Persons with Disability (PwD) who belongs to OBC category.

ELIGIBILITY:
- The candidate should belong to OBC and should have passed the Post Graduate examination and annual income of the beneficiary/parents or guardian of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs. 6.00 lakh per annum from all sources.
- The candidate who is already registered for M.Phil./Ph.D. will be eligible for the consideration for award of fellowship under cited scheme.
- Transgender candidates are eligible to apply under the scheme. The reservation shall be followed as per Government of India norms.
- Selection will be made on the basis of merit of the candidates. However, the actual payment of fellowship will be made directly to awardee through e-payment under DBT with effect from 1st April of selection/financial year (or) from date of joining the fellowship, whichever is later.
TARGET GROUP
Unemployed OBC Candidates who have passed the Post Graduate examination in concerned subject and who are to pursue full-time research without JRF of UGC-NET or UGC-CSIR NET.

National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students
INTRODUCTION
The National Fellowship (NF) Scheme for Scheduled Caste is formulated and funded by Ministry of Social Justice &Empowerment. The scheme is open to candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste and are pursuing higher studies such as regular and full time M.Phil.and Ph.D.degrees in Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Engineering & Technology. There are 2000 slots for Scheduled Caste every year for all the subjects. 3% fellowships are reserved for Persons with Disabilities candidates belonging to SC categories as per provision laid down by the Government of India.
ELIGIBILITY:
A candidate has to fulfil the following conditions to be eligible for award of this fellowship:-
- The candidate should belong to SC/ST and should have passed the Passed the Post Graduate Examination.
- The Candidate must be registered for M.Phil./Ph.D.
- Transgender candidates are eligible to apply under the scheme. The reservation shall be followed as per government of India norms.

Maulana Azad National Fellowship For Minority Students
INTRODUCTION
The Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students is formulated and funded by Ministry of Minority Affairs. The scheme is open to candidates who belong to one of the Minority Community i.e. Muslim, Sikh, Parsi, Buddhist, Christian & Jain and are pursuing higher studies such as regular and full time M.Phil/Ph.D. degrees in Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Engineering & Technology. The reservation for differently abled students shall be made as per provision laid down by the Government of India.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Prior clearance of CBSE/NTA-UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET examination will be a pre-requisite for the award of fellowship.
- Candidate should belong to one of the minority communities – Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Parsi & Jain notified under Section 2 (c) of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992.
- Candidate should submit the minority community certificate on an actionable and legally valid affidavit, until the State Government/Union Territory administration starts to issue the minority community certificate.
- Candidate should be registered for regular and full time M.Phil/Ph.D courses in University/Academic Institution by fulfilling conditions of admission of that University/Institution.
- The annual income of the beneficiary/parents or guardian of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs. 6.0 lakh per annum from all sources. Candidate should submit his/her income or his/her parent’s/guardian’s income certificate issued by the appropriate Authority.
- The candidate should have secured a minimum score of 55% at Post Graduate level.
- Transgender candidates are eligible to apply under the scheme. The reservation shall be followed as per Government of India norms.
